The SmashPot™ is a heavy-duty burley pot built for fishos who want gear that lasts.
Designed with an integrated dual-sided masher, marine-grade materials, and a clean-release bottom lid, it makes burleying faster, cleaner, and easier — so you can spend less time prepping and more time fishing.
The idea and concept was originally brought to us by Gawaine Blake from Salt Guide — a mad fisho who lives and breathes fishing. What started as his prototype and vision was taken to the next level by Joey.
Developed and fabricated by Joey, a lifelong fisho and metal fabricator, the SmashPot was built to solve a problem — flimsy pots, messy hands, and wasted time.

How it works
1. Load your burley
Open the SmashPot and place your burley straight into the cage.
2. Mash it in the pot
Use the built-in dual-sided masher to break everything down quickly and cleanly.
3. Drop it in the water
Lower the SmashPot over the side and let it start working immediately.
4. Keep the trail flowing
A quick tug on the rope activates the shaft and agitates the burley without lifting the pot.
5. Empty and rinse
When you're done, open the bottom latch to release the scraps and rinse clean.

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes the SmashPot™ different from other burley pots?
The SmashPot™ is built from marine-grade stainless steel and has a built-in masher, so you can load, mash, and deploy in one unit. It’s heavier, tougher, and cleaner to use than standard pots.
Can I use any type of burley in the SmashPot™?
Yes — it works with most burley mixes, including fish frames, pilchards, cubes, and finer blends. The integrated masher helps break everything down quickly.
Why is the SmashPot™ hexagonal in shape?
The hexagonal shape helps stop it from rolling around your deck or along the seabed, keeping it steady even in strong currents.
Why is the lid on the bottom?
For easy clean-up. When you’re done, just hold it over the side of the boat, open the bottom lid, and empty out the scraps — quick, clean, and simple.
Is the SmashPot™ made in Australia?
Yes. Every SmashPot™ is designed, welded, and assembled in our factory on the Mornington Peninsula, VIC, using high-quality marine-grade materials.
How do I clean the SmashPot™ after use?
Just open the bottom lid to release the scraps and rinse with fresh water. For best longevity, let it dry fully before storing.
